Beijing - Berlin
a novel perspective
At Nøha we challenge the design process of space-making.
As a collaborative lab, we employ an alternative design&research method. We unfold the initial data through a non-anthropocentric, regenerative lens. Insights from our cross-disciplinary network and our personal experience in city administration, policy-making, and private construction markets, spanning both developed and developing countries, further expand the initial dataset. During this phase, we explore the data to identify key issues, challenges, and questions.
Subsequently, we project our data through a future-oriented lens, envisioning optimal scenarios and setting a reverse urban planning framework.
And then...we pull out some “wild cards” and tackle the initial requirements by challenging the stand points of the process - what we call vision settings.
Finally, we leverage contagious storytelling techniques to communicate our synthesized insights and future vision effectively. Through engaging narratives, we aim to reach a broad audience, including policymakers, urban planners, and community members, even kids, inspiring collective action towards more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive urban futures.
