A Neufert for AI
_under construction_contributions are welcome_
huh?
Nøha is collaborative and open-source. This is a digital exhibition space where we share the outcomes of our studies on architecture and related, while various invited contributors showcase their expert insights on advancements in biotech, fashion, banking, mobility, gaming, farming, biology, zoology, machines, music, food, and more.
There will be also offline meetups and talks. Stay tuned.
What is Neufert?
(For we owe an explanation to the non-architects)
Neufert's Architect's Data" - a comprehensive reference book for architects and designers with essential information on design standards, dimensions, and best practices across various architectural fields.
Our other inspiration is a countercultural publication from the 60ies and 70ies that aimed to provide resources, tools, and information for self-sufficiency, sustainability, and alternative lifestyles. It featured a wide range of topics, including architecture, ecology, and technology, often promoting a DIY ethic.
“The Whole Earth Catalog was one of the bibles of my generation. It was a very special book, and it was a very special time. The people who were involved in it were on a quest for a better life.” — Steve Jobs, commencement address at Stanford in 2005

1. Abandoned Villages,
Reprogrammed for AI, Robots and Ecosystems
What if we shifted the focus from repopulating declining areas to letting autonomous AI-robotic networks take over? They could revitalize ecosystems, rewild landscapes, and boost agricultural productivity. Imagine "ghost villages" transforming into AI-driven farms, climate research hubs, or data centers—all with minimal human input. What if we redefined the hollowed out villages as spaces for transient visits, where people come to learn and connect with nature and technology?
2.
Beyond Souvenir Economies
- Guerrilla Gastronomy for Overcrowded Tourist Cities
Can we fix the cities that live from tourism and suffer from it at the same time? AI driven pop-up culinary venues and smart agricultural pockets in historic cores can transform the most hyped cities into stages for activism about the future of food. By ‘selling’ the idea of sustainable food production and consumption as ‘one of the experiences you cannot miss’, awareness is spread through urban cores with the widest global outreach.
3. Dynamic Ownership & Fluid Urbanism
Instead of static land ownership, AI-managed urban systems (pilot zones, charter cities) could enable flexible, temporary, or collective ownership models based on usage, contribution, or need. Architecture and program that adapts in real time - based on shifting populations, subscription-based land access, or AI-calculated economic efficiency models. Participatory design and land use decisions implemented through membership and quadratic voting system.
