‘RAINDROP’ DIFFUSE HOTEL
December 2023, Andrea is working from CDMX and initiates a project that is aimed to rethink the hospitality practices common in natural settings such as the lush forests of Mexico and in other warm parts of the world.
The project advocates learning from nature in all its richness - it is adaptive and diverse, respectful to the context and based on regenerative design principles.
Nature always strives to find
a way to adapt to shifting
circumstances — and we make sure
that our building is future-proof
by being adaptable and full of
possibilities.
Nature is intuitively health
promoting for people — we
create a design that enhances
health and wellbeing through
sensorial richness and biophilic
spatial experiences.
Waste doesn't exist in nature: it
is nutrition for something else
— we use the same principles
in our building to create closed
resource loops and reduce
operational and embodied
carbon.
Nature is a complex symbiosis
of different species with a need
and a purpose, that exist in
an ecology — we work with a
varied and inclusive design, to
create a rich and interconnected
environment.
